On a recent business and pleasure trip to Minnesota I was lucky enough to get an invite to the home and museum collection of Mark Moriarity----rod and kustom car builder. It was just Mark, me, and my pal Dick (cuzzindeke). We had a great time. Instead of still photos, I used my trusty Ipad to document the collection on video. It all got started as we arrived and entered thru his garage and had a look at Mark's 61 Corvette mild kustom project. Then----in what may be the coolest line ever----Mark said..."let's go IN THE HOUSE and look at some cars." Watch part one here:

Very cool. I was thinking that Ed Winfield had built the Car Craft Dream Car, forgot it was Crushenbury.

Then it was time to eat so we headed to a nearby drive in and Dick was lucky enough to ride shotgun in the 40 coupe. We ate outside at a picnic table in the wonderful Minnesota summer weather. The place had a cute carhop girl and we ate bacon cheeseburgers and homemade onion rings. After that we had to hit the road. I made a quick video as Mark drove away. There's just something about the sound of a gold metalflake Caddy mill. Dig the burnout....

  11. Mark has a hell of a good gig going. Too bad you couldn't be around for Hot Rod Thursday at the drive-in. It's AWESOME!! We get an amazing variety of cars there. Everything from 57 Chevys and Model A rods to Ferrari's and brass and wood antiques. Foods pretty good too.
