It rained. Sorry to break the news, but there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, just a rat rod with an outhouse on the back of it.

We got there early on Saturday to get a good spot. Turns out that wasn't going to be an issue. A nasty line of thunderstorms blew thru. It rained sideways for about 15 minutes and then it rained normal for about the next 5 hours.

This guy showed up for just Saturday, sat in the rain all day, and then left 15 minutes before it quit raining :)

Eventually, the rain passed and they did the Cacklefest.

The last pic is of my daughter who managed to suffer through the crappy weather and keep me entertained.

Nice pictures, Flipper. Quite a variety of cars there. The Model A sedan without a firewall is......interesting.

Thanks for sharing. I was told the 32 5 window that was with the red roadsters had a glass body the guy had a patina paint job. If so nice job it looked to be rusted steel to me. I think the doors, roof and trunk lid are steel because of the louvers.

You did a great job taking all those pictures and I thank you for posting them. I particularly liked the one with the little kid looking at that rat-thing. :D

Thanks for the pics, that's my MG in the pics. The rusty looking five window with the roadsters is fiberglass, it's also Kurt and Kyle Busch's father; he came up and sat under our tent in the shade for a while Friday PM. We didn't talk racing or his children just about cars in general he seemed fairly knowledgeable about older cars.

We left Saturday morning. Was that a good idea? Did they get any racing at all in?

I now the guy that owns it and the 35 Plymouth truck next to it, the reason for no firewall is he raised the motor up for some extra clearance and never got around to trimming the firewall and reinstalling it.

Great pics man and that model t was probably one of my favorite there.
