LOVE IT! My parents bought a spakin new one of those in 62. Always loved the lines. Of course it was a 283 automatic.

I hadn't really regretted selling my '62 SS until I opened this thread and saw your pics.... thanks a lot. :(

    Sorry :)
Regretting selling other Impala's i've had is what started me building this one so i seriously understand exactly what you feel.
I've come to terms with the fact that i will always own an Impala til i die. I just can't get past it so i stopped trying! :D:D

The color's on this are what it wore brand new. It was actually an after thought to repaint it these colors, but now i'm really happy i did.

    Thank you.

  10. Tony,

Just saw the thread! The car looks awesome as I have come to expect from anything you own. I am almost about to offer you my 62 just so it actually gets done in this lifetime!!! Keep up the good work bro, hopefully I can see it in person in the not so distant future.

Thanks Greg, i really appreciate the kind words!
It's just about done finally. I shot the hood today and will wet sand and rub tomorrow, hopefully putting it on right after.
Then it's just some small details here and there to finish it off.
The friend i bought it from and i plan to take it to the guy he got it off within the next couple weeks.
He bought it off a family member in Sc, and has had it for a LONG time managing to only take it apart. It's probably been in pieces for the better part of 20 years.
I can't wait to see how he reacts to seeing it done!!

And it's funny you mentioned bringing me yours. I know you were teasing, but I do have another friend with a 62 Impala 2 door ht, and he wants to hire me to pull it off the frame etc etc...it'd be good pay but not sure i want to do it yet....yet.

    Thanks again guy's!
