Theres probably some dude out there right now with a Def Leppard shirt and acid washed jeans who is very disappointed another '80's Street Rod was just "ruined".

I really like the way it turned out! There are alot of cars out there that could use some work like that and turn them into knockouts like yours. It's bitchin!

    wow!

    change the oil
    replace the brake wheel cylinders
replace the fuel pump ( if it has a bad diaphragm it will leak gas into the oil pan.
    check the plugs and wires
squirt oil in each cylinder and soak the rocker arms . let it set overnight.
turn the motor over by hand a few times.
replace the battery (a no brainer)
    make sure the clutch releases.
    get a fire extinguisher handy.
    fire it up!

    great find...

Good recovery of a nice car. Make sure the details are ok, get out on the road and wear it out.

that turned out bitchin. of course you started with a really nice "rough" barn find

  25. Wash it and drive it,Rat rodding is in.You dont even have to replace the bottom six inches which is normal on most early coupes.

Ive painted my car so it looks like its 50 years old.Its now become trendy to have an Old lookin car.
    Nice find.Love 36 Coupes.

  26. Oh man that car is rockin'.

Rockey, I'm not bored with detail photos! In fact, I NEED your detail photos!!!

I'm in the final stages of assembling a new 350 for my wife's '48 pickup... the long block is complete so now it's just the little details. I have a pair of Corvette valve covers that I don't want to drill, and just bought an Edelbrock 2703 intake (Performer EPS and Oil Fill Tube non-EGR). Where did you tap the intake and what type of PCV did you use?
