really nice work this week!!!! ive been burnt out on art since art college and havent picked up a brush in years. i really admire all of you guys who post new things up every week. for the past few days ive been going thru the art sections here and slowly feeling that spark come back....so much so that last night i blew the dust off of my pencil to sketch something on illustration board for the first time in years.maybe one day i will have a nice polished piece to post up here. wrapped around my small studio walls are prints from weesner, von franko and robert williams for motivation. you guys who post here dont understand what it means to a guy like me lurking in the shadows every friday to try and get that spark back for me. one day id like to feel the same thing bombster felt when he set up with the big boys of lowbrow. again thank you to all who post on here...it means alot

This caught my eye. I'm a big fan of Dali's art. What a great talent your daughter has. Please encourage her to continue to draw (anything!!!) and not waste this artistic gift.

I finished up this beer fridge for our local biker club. It was raffled off last weekend during their annual rally. So I started in on this beanie helmet for another biker

    Great show, per usual.
This art is not mine, but I was fortunate to come across it.

First, I believe this to be a Norm Grabowsky hand carved shift knob. I wasn't able to verify with the owner.

In the current issue of "Rod & Custom" (August 2011) there's a great cover piece on the Starlite Rod & Kustom shop with fantastic photographs by Tim Sutton, a participant in these Friday Art Shows.
Here's a couple photos of the shop truck, "El Durti Martini" mentioned in the article but not shown. I caught it last year at the Good Guys Orange County show.

  17. Smart piece Martin!

  18. Thanks Glenn. I'm going to tweak and repost it in a bit.

I'm with the rest of them.... great drawing! Keep pushing her. My 15 year old daughter is the one who' s got a pencil as her 6th digit on her right hand.
I've tied to get here to draw something for the HAMB as she also likes old cars
but she won't budge. Yet. Also, when not drawing, she's writing or practicing one of 3 musical instruments... way ahead of me at that age.

Dart165, I love that drawing, great job!

Everything else looks great too! Jamey, you can definitely operate a bead roller like no one else!

Here's a trophy I built for a show in Woodland Hills California tomorrow.

For a no talent bum like me to see talent like yours not being used is a shame. You have the talent use it. Nice start, thanks for posting. To all the other artists GREAT SHOW!!!

Dash for one of the summer rides for a local bike shop, yet to be cleared. Only the lettering is my work.

    Dynamite start on the FAS.
