these in my OT truck were made from weed eater pistons....ask for junk weed eater ...strip to get piston (s)....shifter had pin boss ground out with Dremal tool right thread nut epoxied in.......window winder boss ground out and epoxied right over stock knob......flames engraved with Dremal tool

That's exactly what I want, but all the shops tell me they either have a scrap guy who gets it all, or they wont allow anyone to dig through their scrap, or "it just got dumped". Didn't seem to be a money thing, as I was offering to pay.
Until then I scabbed together this old pistol grip to get me by:

This was in a seized up 5 horse Briggs. It's second life is more fascinating, and much less brutal.

Not in a Hamb friendly vehicle, but this is the knob that is going in my current build. I picked it up from chromedRAT (Josh). It took a while to get, but well worth the wait and a great guy to boot. It is resting on my mock-up grip right now, but it will look much different when done.

 

I picked this up a few years ago She has to be painted and clear coated. It's made from a silicone mold molded and poured in a urethane plastic. Being a modeler and mold maker for the last fifty years I can appreciate the work.

If she was real she would probably cripple a guy. Ill place her on the shifter of the next nutty creation. That's the contraption in the back of the picture behind Little T.

Mine is a flat top wiesco piston out of a 5 horse briggs & stratton motor that was in my go cart I used to race. I like it and it brings back old memories

This is my skull shift knob that a good friend carved and cast for me. I did the paint detailing with some 1-shot. It will end up in my OT Kustom Sled when it is needed.

I have a fear of spiders, so I have a liquid-filled spider shifter knob in my '31 DB three window...I found it at a yard sale in San Diego for $5.00. It's a 1940's or 1950's item, I believe.

 

I made this one at work and have made several more since. KISS...
Keep it simple stupid ! I don't know how cool it is but I like it.
