Was a great show . I am impressed with your pics by the time I got there yesterday they were packed in like sardines . I heard they turned 100 or so cars away as they ran out of room .

I heard the same thing...looked like a bunch of them out on the street and at the service station across the street. The last entry number I noticed on one was #438.....might have to start blocking some more street!!!

this car has been around the best part of the last 4 or5 years, i think it screams hard as nails.
Love it, and i dont care much for hot rods.
i wonder if he wants to finish it nice and clean or if its gonna stay like this, but judging from the chrome suspension i think he will finish it money allowing.
Who has full details on it?

    Thanks Haywood.
We'll see you in Bowling Green!

Beatersville was a fun time. It is always one of my favorite summer events.

  24. Its my dads car, the plan is to tear it apart as soon as we get my car to a stopping point (right infront of it ahah), and get a '31 coupe going so dad has something else to drive. The plan is to really do it up! If you have any questions about the car you can just PM me. Thanks for the kind words about it! Dad loves the car.

Labold, your 40 made me feel funny inside. I love that car.

Thanks for the kind words Custom Crestline. We've put about 8k miles on it in the last year. It doesn't sit still long.

    Labold,
Saw the HAMB licence plate topper on your 40 sedan, it's killer, you had to get there early to get that spot. Anyway Beaterville is one of my favorite shows of the year, a true Louisville landmark, great people, cars, & atmosphere. I just wish I was 30 yrs younger than I act.
    Great time...........

I was the one who had a part in this car as well. I built the current body on the car. Its funny that it would come up here on about finishing the car. We had that very discussion during the show Sunday that he wants to finish it and with interior. Although I feel it would loose some of its magnetism just cause its been this way so long its his goal to finish it.It draws people to it like a moth to a flame. Not sure if its the Y block with all the carbs , the stance or what ,but the car has been driven everywhere and always draws a crowd. I remember a couple of years ago at the pileup I almost got in a fist fight with a gentleman who assured me we had a trailer in the parking lot and in no way was that car driven four hours to the show...
