  1. Does anyone know if the sedan rear windows the same profile as the 5 window quarter windows?

Well, it may look like I cheated too, but when I tore it all down and got to see all the metal, all I had was parts of the body upon completion.... Still working on it.

Here's something a little different. A friend took this pic of a '33 Sport Coupe on a trip Down Under.

  9. I'm so pissed... I didn't follow up on this car after my friend died. The wife scrapped it.

I got my 34 5 window back in the late 70's. Got it built & on the road by the summer of 85. Still drivin it. It was a package deal & came with a rough 34 4 door sedan. Had to sell that to regain some of the bucks. Many years later I got the sedan back for a lot more money. It looked a lot better by then even though nothing had been done to it. I sold the sedan once again for a bigger fistfull of dollars, and I regret it again. Like many have said on here, "too many projects."

  13. I have been patching my very rough coupe body back together with the intention to sell it but it is showing potential so I think I will be keeping it. Still a long way to go.....

I bought this in 92, had been upside down in a farmers field for awhile, previous owner started to replace the roof but stopped halfway through.too many irons in my fire,so it sits waiting for an inspiration to kickstart the project.the last picture was taken just after bringing it to my shop in 92,we had moved everything out for spring cleaning,I got up on the roof of the shop and took a picture.the Fordor body in foreground was transformed into what is now my avatar.

Here's a recent shot of the #69 race car body that is shown in the first post of this thread. Took a lot of work to get to this stage, but man, it was fun!

4 door rear 1/4 windows and the 1/4 window on a 5 window are different. Sorry I have compared them, I had hoped to use a 4 door as a partial donar to build a 5 window 34, but it will not work. Jim

nutcase, they will work, but you'll need to actually DO some work to fit them. ;) Yea, they are dimensionally different, but the contours are identical. The 1/4 windows are the least of your worries with that conversion... the rear roof is totally different... this whole car is reworked 4dr from the decklid forward.

Thunderbirdesq - your build is phenomenal! There have been other attempts at turning a four door into a coupe, but I think yours is the best!

  27. IMG_4003r.jpg 100_8889.jpg May as well put this up. Work I did this winter, next winter I'll finish. Have to spend too much time on building construction.

Here is my latest find, and yes, it came out of a barn. This one is in a lot better shape than the other three window I started with that is shown in the first post of this thread.
