I bought a set of lowering leafs and blocks from Jamco kinda hard to get on the phone but still I was very happy with what I bought. I installed the leafs then the blocks put the ubolt on wait a miunte. Why are the ubolts slanted I got my tape out I was sent 2 inch wide blocks and I need 1 3/4 wide. I called Jamco back 3 time left nice detailed messages with my name and contact info No call backs. Ok well then thats fine Ill spend my money else were. So now the big question is I need lowering blocks that are 1 3/4 wide by 2 inches high were can I buy these. Thanks
We hear what your say'n, but why are the U bolts slanted ? Whats the width of your springs and the center line of the bolt hole of the spring plate left to right ?
The blocks are for a 2 inch wide spring not a stock 1 3/4 wide spring that I just put on new. The spring plates are for 1 3/4 not 2 inch wide springs. Does this help you out?
I have had this problem before with old mopars They have 1 3/4" springs ten years ago nobody made them. I made them from some heavy tubing.
Yeah chevs of the 40s has nice stuff and fast shipping. I used the same blocks as these but in 3" and they fit fine... http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/11827/LOWERING_BLOCKS_2_W_UBOLTS.html On Jamco, when I wanted to buy rear leafs and blocks and shocks from them yeah I called them probably 5-6 times and sent emails with no response.. Good Luck
You can't trim down the whole hollow block, but you can notch them for U bolt clearance. 1/8" at each point will get them straight, and not slanted.
The cat from Jamco pmed me Hope we can sort this out. Like I said before Im very happy with the other parts I got from him. Thanks for all your input guys....
Here, Butch's has 1 3/4" wide like you need: http://www.butchscoolstuff.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=18 Hope this helps!
