Blake (left) and Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks pose with the 1957 Corvette they recently unearthed from a barn just 40 miles from their business’ corporate headquarters in Effingham, Ill. According to Mike Yager, the Corvette had been parked for 35-40 years and, “needless to say, this thing has had possums sleep in it.”

It's always exciting when real "barn finds" happen-- It's an enchanting experience to say the least... The '57 'Vette looks great, despite its weathered appearance, it still holds its own after multi decades of slight decay... And the interior photograph speaks volumes of just how "style smart" the Chevy folks were when they designed it... The possums who were sleeping in this ride must have had real class... Not trying for drama, it's their car to do what they want. But I don't understand that this Corvette will never be washed or made run. I understand "barn find", I just don't understand leaving it look like it's still in a barn, opossum poop and all. .

I'd be trying to drag enough chunks out of there to weld up a stock car body at least. Cool find!

Yeah absolutely! Or just let me know what you're after. I have tons more pics of the same vehicles, I just haven't uploaded them due to the "bore factor" of those that may not be interested. I also uploaded a few more pics, so check again if you'd like.
The farm is located 45 west of Assiniboia, on highway 13. Its about a 600km drive. Also I found a MINT '37-38 international 1.5ton truck I haven't taken pics of. I also have a few names & numbers you can call of people that have huge collections in their own yard.

Just PM me if you'd like :)

Just bought a 69 Mach 1 that had been in storage since 1983. It's cleaning up pretty good. Ron

after looking around for a while i think the ford is a 46 due to the roof antenna, grooved exterior moldings, and the rear trim pieces on the rear lid...

'63 was a wild year for Pontiac, then the company got out of racing a while. I seem to recall that, IN THIS SAME BODY, they did the ULTRA-RARE 421-CID, for that year only. Poncho historians? Help me on this one, please! (One source I read said they even sneaked the 421 into the car, still carrying the 326 badging!)

Just got back from a 4 state trip and found these on Nevada US 50 near Great Basin National park. Unfortunately I had no way transport them.
