Frenched head lights.. ala Lynwood

Piero.... showed me how to post a tech..thing.



Unscrew the bucket,


grind the fender,




flip the clips,




weld the ring.



grind the welds,


lead it,



file it sand it,




tack it,



prime it....



And thats about it.. Need frenched headlights?? we do it in 1 day depending on how busy the shop is for 1500.00

how do you install the buckets ?? can you adjust the headlites from the front ???

instead of welding can you use the new glue that is used on body panels,,,i figure the overflow will act as bonbo and is sandable

 

do not i repeate do not do this!!!!!! You will get a bond line that will ghost through your paint!!!!!

Brad, are there any drains drilled out at the base of the mounting surface? I can imagine they become a bit of a water trap without...?

The buckets are simply instaled from inside the wheel well. you should always adjust them first before you disasemble them.

 

yes always drill 1/8 drain holes inside the rim to let out water.

Isn't Brad and Germ the same person? I got this right don't I? I have seen that guy before. Or is he done with that pesona? Nice job on the headlight treatment by the way. Please show how the bulb goes in and adjusts.

 

Not the same guy.. Germ worked for brad last year and no longer does..

For those who don't know brad..
He currently rents out the Barris Lynwood shop and worked for George and was tought by Bill Hines... He still uses the same techniques the people at the shop did in the days.. He's a oldest young builder I know...
