sisu roadster

anyone have pic of the SISU roadster, a lakes roadster from the early 70's. I remember it from runs in San Diego(cage cut out) in 1974.

 

Isn't that the roadster that Mark Morton (Hop Up Magazine) raced in the 90's-2000's? I think I recall a story he wrote about it getting wrecked and the insurance company not wanting to pay to fix the paint to the previous "patina".

 

probably not, this car was painted nicely and a class act lakes roaster w/ timing tags. You could see where they cut out the funny car cage.

Has the owner/builder of this roadster a finnish ancestry?

I remember seeing the car in a magazine from back in the 70’s, might still have it if I could find it. Maybe it was Hotrod, can’t remember for sure. I believe it was a 28 or 29 Model A. The picture of the car were from Bonneville I think.
Yes it was owned by a couple of brothers of finnish descent . That’s the main reason that I remember it as my wife is also of finnish descent.
I will try to find the magazine if I get some time.

it only translate to Finnish and has several good meanings
