    I want to thank everyone that contributed to this thread. It took MANY days, but I made it thru all 1350+ pages. This was a great introduction to the golden era of drag racing...I was born in '68 so I missed it all.

    My mom always told me I was born 20-25 years too late as I gravitate to cars of her era more than mine. This thread proves that she is/was right.

    Wasnt this Dick Wohl's B/FD? There wasnt a lot of Gurney Weslake powered drag cars that I can recall. Ken Van Cleve (C/D) and Darrell Droke (C/Gasser Cougar) served as the other two.

    Looks like a British powered rail. Perhaps a UK based rig. I like inline rails, especially those with the enclosed chute tail section.

    Yes it was. I rea an article that claimed the car was powered by a 426 Mopar wedge. A strange choice by 1970 standards. I thought it was BBC, the same one employed when the car was injected. It served as one of the last traditional bodied blown gas circuit cars on the West Coast.
