    Thanks guy's, much appreciated.
To answer the question up a ways, the wheels are 14x6 standard offset. I'm not crazy about the reversed look on these and just wanted the normal look.

The colors are original to the car too, aside from the interior. That's supposed to be aqua but i scored most of the gut off Craigslist and HAD to use it.

    Sledbuilder, NO problem!! :D
    Thanks again!

  3. I've always loved the lines of te 62 Chevy - I had a 62 Impala that started life as a 6-cyl auto that I built into a 409/409 w/4-speed, and most all of the other goodies.

Great looking car - good luck and give us some video when done so we can hear it!

  4. Dang that's fine!

I was never a big '62-'63 Chevy fan but that Impala is so right. Love the color combo and interior. Terrific stance and the wheels fit that style.

  6. Great stance, great color, great interior. It all works well together. Wouldn't change a thing. Keep up the great work Tony.

  7. You have one beautiful impala. Nice and simple. You did a great job on it. Thanks for the pics.

I'm assuming it's true 409. If so, what hp rating or did you build it up beyond factory specs. 4 spd. trans?

    My 63 :)

Actually, this one i built as a clone. It IS a 409, and it's backed by a Muncie and not an original BW.
The motor is this car is the number's match to my 63 Impala i'll be doing next. I have a virgin 409 ready for machining when i pull this one out to put back where it belongs. This one is a completely original 340 horse motor, the one i'll eventually be building for this will have lots more hp than that :)
The car will never be shown, and i'll never pass it off as an original 409, BUT, i'd highly doubt even the most critical 409 guy's could tell it did not come this way, i did that much research etc when i built it, right down to the angle top radiator etc...
I have NO reason why i did it that way other than i just enjoyed it and like being detail oriented when i built stuff ( and i have a few screws loose). This is the first car in 20 or so years i actually referenced the assembly manual for many many items.
The 63 will be spot on though in every aspect because it's the real deal.

Thanks to all for the comments, i appreciate them all.

Real nice and clean work right there! I told You I liked that color before, but here it looks even more striking with all the beautiful brightwork in place! I really dig the stance, too.

It's bagged not lifted. If it were not for kustombuilder making a great deal with me i wouldn't have done it. But, now that i have i love it, especially when it's at rest like in the pics.
It's actually really slick considering the only mod's to the car itself were the small clearance holes i had to make in the front for the lines to pass through the frame, thats it.

I really didn't think it would be so liked considering it's relatively stock, so, thanks once again for all the good words!
