I will have to ask my Dad. I know he has a picture of a 65 Z-16 that was owned by the dealership that he worked at in 65-66. It was a yellow car with the "Fantastic 1" painted on the side. They drag raced the car quite a bit. This was 1 of 2 of the Z-16's that was owned by the same dealership at the same time. I dont remember what color the other one was. From what I understand it was very rare for 1 dealership to get 2 Z-16's.

Here's one a friend owns. The only triple black one ever made.

My buddy bought one of these with the L-79 327-350 in it new. The first thing he did was to shit can the chrome dual snorkle air cleaner!! Most were Malibu's or hardtops. Not too many sedans with the big engine.

Another local guy restored one of the 199 real Z-16s Lots of clones but this was the real deal. Malcom Durham was from my home town. I watched him rise through the ranks.

Page 3, post #44 is also a Z-16, the first one delivered I believe, and the original owner has it still, restored of course.

  26. Ok- earon1964 beat me to posting this pic but I had to add that what I really like about this wheels up wagon is that its powered by a 283 and heavily sidestepped 4 speed
