Headlight Mock-Up...opinons

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by bp1971, May 5, 2011.

  1. Mocking up my headlights and need some opinions on the two different styles:

I am partial to the Model A head lights, I like how they fill the space between the grill shell and the tire.

I also have a pair of Dietz 982 headlights. I like them as well, but not sure if I like them as much as the model A lights.

    What do you guys think?

  2. i like the bigger ones. they seem to fill the gap better and be more in proportion

WOW tough decision....they both change the look of the front end entirely....I would base it on the wheel combination at this point, since you have hood sides. Traditional style wheels I would go with A lights, more modern wheels I would go with Dietz...IMHO

  4. i could go either way but im partial to the smaller ones

  5. i'd say model a.

Definiteley the A's. The other one's look out of proportion.

    Close call for sure....
But from looking only at the front the smaller ones win by a nose....

I like the smaller Dietz. The less noticeable headlights are, the better. I wouldn't even put them on my car, but they come in handy at night.

  20. I run the A lights. Like em mounted just a little in front of the radiator.

  21. I like the As , gives it a heavier stronger look.

The dietzs have a more dainty, petite, lightweight and aerodynamic type feel that may fit the rest of the cars theme better than the A's.

  23. I agree with the A lites, they look right on a hiboy. I tried them on mine and they were to big with the fenders so I went with the 7 inch dietz lites, but the bigger the better on hiboys.

The As look clunky to me. Always did like smaller lights.
