Hey guys, Just thought I would ask what is on the side of your truck or car. The name of a oil company or a old shop truck,I always stop and read what they say. Let's see some of your pictures of some, real or just made up.:D

Here's what's on my '47... Although it's not everone, I'm planning on leaving the "finish" it just the way it is - rusted.

Usually bird poo... but I did this for a restaurant in Dallas... Before we hung it, I hit it with some sandpaper to make it look weathered.

Nat Quick was a custom painter/pinstriper/letterer of some not back in the late 60's early 70's in So. Cal. Did my buddy's Cheetah race car..world class!!! Same guy? Maybe, maybe not. Heard he passed away a few years back.

  27. Bob Bond recently painted some really nice signs on my truck. "Hover Motor Company" was my grandad's car lots from the 1930s to the 1970s in Colorado, so the truck fits right in there. It's also the name of my blog (which has a picture of the lot from the 1940s as the header), so it ties into that as well.

I was trying to relay sarcasm :) I thought Mr. Quick was still in Cali and was painting old aviation planes paintings. I thought he won some awards in the aviation community for his work. Maybe not the same guy I thought it was. I seen a couple pics of him from a few years ago. I hope he is still around, I wanted to contact him about my car but I doubt he will remember this one among the hundreds he has painted.

Just bought a '31 Chevy Truck off of Craigslist. Has a '60s Mountain Dew logo on the doors. It was supposedly a local radio station promo truck in the '60s.
