Top notch so far - I'm lovin' that chassis & engine ! You may want to think about converting the shifter to an S-10 shifter extension though , to get it closer to the firewall a bit , as it may be a bit too far back the way it is (I'm assuming it's a T5, by the looks of it) . I'd like to eventualy go that route w/mine , so I've been looking into what's being done & why ;) .
Keep up the good work !

The engine had to move back to clear that huge steering system...and it will give better handling to the car at the end of the day.....So the seat will move back a bit as well then it will not look so far.....The steering box is very large but will make turns in the quarter move, so very fast turning radius. I will post a close up of the box that shows the steering rod going through the motor mount to clear, you will see there was no room whatsoever.
    Thanks

    Scott

Alot of work going on there! Is it being built for the track or just for the street?

For the track that has turns.....And lights and stop signs.....Weekend toy, willow springs. Frame is almost done and now its off to finish all the body and the chop. Adjustable front and rear sway bar and triangulated rear end. 5 speed Tremic and the 479 hp ford/Roush. Has cut outs in the exhaust. Sits 5 1/2 from the floor. Low.......Should run well and handle very good, was built for the turns.
