Nicely put Kirk!...perhaps it will encourage a few to look up the definition of "mild custom"...:)

I'm well aware of the definition of "mild," (if those comments were directed at me), but the OP didn't seem to mind when I put in a few in my earlier post ...after all, he asked for more pics when I asked if he wanted to see more (post #319). Every one of these cars were built by each individual owner, keeping in mind the OP's comment of "the guy who built that car down the block"...

So, with that in mind, here's more ColoRODo Kustoms, and not one of 'em chopped:

    Jeff Hansens '51 Merc
    [IMG]

Charlie Mahwinney's '57 Ford (sadly Charlie is now deceased, but he found out this Ranch-a-roo was an old "show" car back in the early '60's...minus this paint job, of course).

    Jim Smith's '49 Buick
    [IMG]

    Rich Cordova's '60 Cadillac
    [IMG]

    Richard Dix '53 Chevy
    [IMG]

    Harry Truit's '52 DeSoto
    [IMG]

I'm sure I've got a few more on discs, I'll see if I can find 'em...

Yep it's been mentioned on this thread a couple of times. Pat Ganahl's deffinition pretty much sums it up. Although in indoor type shows it's broken down even further Conservative, Mild, Semi, Full & Radical Custom classes. I think for the purposes of this thread anything other than a chopped, channelled or sectioned car is apropriate. Mild customs are my favorite style, espescially a late 50s early 60s cruiser style.

Keep the pics comin' StudeDude. Gotta be somethin' in the water there! Very cool stuff.

    I'll get in on this.

I'm almost done, just need to figure out a grille, lower the front end a bit and put the stainless back on.

So, I didn't check this thread in a few days but I'd have to say Eryk wins. Sorry everyone :p

I won't lie, this Olds stirs feelings deep inside of me that no sane man should ever feel for an automobile. I have added this photo to the growing 'porn' folder I have of this car and made it my new desktop image here at work haha.

Great, now I can't stand up for a few minutes...
