My dad scanned in this pic of some old cousin and asked me if I could identify the car. I can't tell what it is. I wish I could see a taillight Anyone have a clue? Thanks Bobby
The B pillars lean forward and all four corners of the decklid are rounded.Looks like a pretty car, surely someone here owns one and will recognize it.
I've about googled myself out. I would have thought that the bumper guards, trunk handle or the emblem on the truck would be readily identifiable but so far I haven't found anything. The license plate is a 1941. I've been searching from 1937-1941 but so far....nothing Thanks for the help Bobby
It certainly has a 36-39 look to it, what ever it is.That cute girl has to be at least 85 years old now!
I could be wrong but I believe Studebaker made two different coupes in the late 30s. One was a Commander as the gray coupe, and the other was a smaller and lighter Champion like this one. I think the one in the photo is a Commander coupe.
---------------- ------------------ According to factory spec sheets, the shipping weight of a 'goddamned' one is 10 lbs more than just a regular 'damned' Henway and a full 20 lbs. more than a plane-jane, unoptioned 'undamned' model!!! 1939 Stude-tailights are behind her boot and the bumperetts have the same ribs as the brown car also the "S" on the trunk is in the same area. How do you weigh a live hen?
