So, im redoing my bench seat in my '51 Chevy PU, and its been eatin way from either someones big ass butt groove, or some god awful bug! I want to re-do this seat the least expensive way possible... The frame itself is in great condition... I am concidering just stripping it, and then putting in a new wooden board, some new foam and fabric, then wrap it, staple it, then screw it on to the frame.. Anyone have any better ideas? Carolyn
Hey missrabbit.... check out my buddy brad's thread.... he uses a minivan seat I believe.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=327069
I'd hate to be the voice of reason, but LMC truck has the pad for $35 and tailored seat covers for $169 to $189. Two hours and you're done and they would be brand new.
If you dont have any luck, PM me. I have a REALLY nice seat out of a 56 Ford car in GREAT shape and will let it go really really cheap.
