Hey y'all, Here's some of my pics from this year's Lone Star Round Up. Thank you to the Kontinentals and everyone else involved in putting on this fantastic event! Now if there were only a way to keep the late models and Harleys off South Congress Avenue Friday and Saturday nights!! Let's start off with grits and his beauties: Brenda, the coupe, and I guess we should also mention the model? Mr. Norwell's bithin' pickup. Who owns this thing? The man, the moviestar, the legend.... Yours truly wishing Gary would give me the keys!! The goldest wheels at the show, hands down. It's only original once, right? Gotta love it.... Anybody know these guys?
Rumor has it this guy is now engaged! Congrats, Mark! OT, but you don't find yourself behind a Pantera everyday.
So Brewton, I'm assuming that's your coupe?? Please tell me you have a build thread or more pics uploaded somewhere! I took quite a few pics of your car as I found it particularly inspirational for me. And to think it belongs to another Louisiana boy! I'm a NOLA native myself. Tommy
Nice pic's... Thanks for sharing!!! I'll bet Mr. Grit's takes his good ol' time getting around to washing that right front...
My 2 favorite coupes of the entire show, Why---because they are driven , they are fast and they are everything the Round-up is all about...
Too bad the guys that drive them are total NERDS!!! Not to mention get mistaken for each other all the time. haha I think their passengers are pretty hot though! Dennis - you are the coolest of the cool.
Thank you, Dennis. Quite a compliment from somebody that knows how to put the "hot" in hot rod! Qwebber, I forgot to tell you that the bartender in the Gallery gave me David's credit card and tab on Thursday, night by mistake. I should have paid it, because it was cheaper than mine for a change.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I don't. But you're welcome to sift through all the pics I took: http://tommyr.smugmug.com/Cars/Hot-Rods/Lone-Star-Round-Up-2011/16460379_hQvSc#1241120702_LBmG5
Yep, that's my heap. Thanks for the pics... Here is the link to my album of the build. It's not all the pics, but enough to give you an idea of what I did. If you have any questions.. please feel free to shoot me a line, I would be glad to help you in anyway I can. Being a Louisiana boy too, it's the least I can do (LOL). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=421
Brewton, tell him the part about that he can see it in action at DOTD this fall when you're making passes. Right? I wanna see that car run hard. Please.
Great car, Brewton! And thanks for the pics link and for the offering to answer questions/etc.. Can't wait to check it out again at the DOTD!!
