Racingman just delivered my new Heavy Hauler from Colorado Springs. It was nice to meet him, we know a lot of the same people.

The big Girl is a 1957 F600. I Had my best friend, Bigpappab pick it up for me out in Denver last fall. It is an amazing restored truck. I will be putting a set of cast rams horn headers and dual exhaust on the 272 yblock, and plan to make a nice large radius Vintage style hauler/flatbed. I will have to get some interior and under hood shots. She is sexy.

    That thing is sick!

  5. That is sweet. Usually nobody spends that much time or effort on a big truck.

Although I'm a GM truck guy only, I can respect that truck. Those are the inspiration for the Buddy L's and Tonkas of our youths.
How are you going to make those big radius' (radii) for the bed. I'd like to see that.

My 10'x40" welding table with a 3/8 thick top, a torch and dry sand. I have never done it like that, but have always wanted to try. I may be able to do everything I need with solid stock not tube. If that is the case,it will be easy. I had to wait until the truck was here to be able to get a better idea of the style of bed. The truck is VERY LARGE, much bigger than it looks. 1.75-2" tube would look about right.

I am sure I will have all kinds of new leads on old junk, I am taking the truck to a small vintage tractor show in a few weeks. Like every other car/truck I own, once you get one everyone tells you about the "one" they have just like it.

That's a very nice truck. I know where some semi van trailers from the 1950's, (or 1940's?), that would look good hooked up to your Ford. These trailers look like they are made from stainless steel??? Doubt that they are for sale, though.

I would love to make a vintage style car trailer, or a 2 horse trailer. I will be towing My late model horse trailer to The local Hunter Paces with it.

I am in the process of selling 13 car/motorcycles. I want a life with less clutter, and only have projects that I enjoy. I have wanted a 1.5-2ton truck for 20 years. I could not pass this one up. Never would I have the time to Build one this clean.

I would have to imagine this was the size of truck people pulled The big Spartan Manor travel trailers with.

Beautiful truck. A vintage style car hauler sounds just like what that truck needs.
