I love it about Wednesday when I start seeing more cars driving around town. I get to cruise up S. Congress on my way to work in the mornings, and seeing the hot rods and customs out is sweet...too bad I have to work all day today...

How big is it(LSR)? How many cars thoughtout the weekend? Is it worth a drive from Canada? 1996 miles one way....

It's right at 2400 miles from my front door and I plan on it in 2013 after I retire and have time to do the trip without having to mak 800 miles a day on the way down and turn right around and do 800 miles a day on the way back. I've done that twice and it isn't fun anymore. Not for roundup but the Inlaws are in Central Texas.

I believe there were over 2000 cars registered last year... I LOVE this show, but I'm biased.

  15. For me, last year was Bonneville, this year will be the Stray Kat 500, and 2012 will be the LSR.

  28. I have been to tha last 5 shows, lived about 50 miles away. This summer I moved to New Hampshire. 89 deg in Austin today, predicted 12 inches of snow here. What the hell have I done. I would give anything to be back in good old Texas. Feeling pretty depressed at missing this. Have only seen one traditional rod and one custom in 6 months here. Will definately be looking forward to the picks.

I know that T E X A S is a big state but I cannot believe all the folks from Texas posting that they are NOT going. It is about 1200 miles 1 way for me ... but I am planning on going to Austin for the 35th Deuce Reunion later this year. I had to choose from the LA Roadster Show in LA , the 35th Deuce Reunion in Austin or the Lone Star Roundup ( Austin also ) ... for this years long trip. I went to LA Roadster Show last year, 35th Deuce Reunion this year ... so the Lone Star Roundup will be 2012 ... :D :D
