I have a few things laying around the shop from past projects, and it is obvious that I aint going to use them. I thought I'd give the stuff to any one who needs it. Any suggestions on how to do it ? Maybe this is another Pay it forward thread? Or maybe auction it off piece by piece on here and donate it to HAMB ? I'll start getting a list of this stuff together tomorrow. Pontiac Mallory dual Point Dizzy with cap, in nice condition will be the first to go. Second will be a set of 1950? Buick hub caps.
Ben455, already got a PM on the dizzy, If I don't hear from him within a week, it is yours. All I ask is that you pay the shipping, and maybe give something to someone in return. I'll keep you posted. Flathead pete, send me your zip, the caps are yours if you don't mind paying actual shipping
You give someone something, you don't need, They give someone something and so on...... only actual shipping charge is paid. The economy SUX, and If you can help someone out,, Why not ??
Ive got an atwater-kent aftermarket T engine, it needs the gears for the cam and a coating of epoxy on the cap would be beneficial. All I ask is for shipping and that it gets used and doesnt go on somebodies wall
Hey buddy there is a pay it forward thread it is longer than a bad dream. Never the less I am collecting bits for my olds and am on a real tight budget (tighter than usual). Got to be away from the computer for awhile. Here is one of them but it isn't the one I'm thinking of. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=527509&highlight=pay+it+forward never the less you are right out here in the open. So carry on. I got a couple of GM ( delco) window dizzys here if someone needs one. One is petronix and the other is still points.
Axeman had a pretty active "Pay It Forward" thread going. I haven't checked in a while, so I don't know if it's still going or if it folded. It seemed to be working well the last time I looked, though NOTHING is perfect, ya know? All in all, though, it worked. And BTW, I think your spirit is admirable, just trying to help other HAMBers! Thanks.
LOL. I must have been writing when PorkNBeaner was posting. Anyway, the sentiment is admirable. Good luck!
Reviving jimi'shemi291's old thread. I have a pair of new door glasses (PPG) clear in the sleeves & a new slider back glass assy. in an aluminum frame for a 64-66(standard cab) Chevy or GMC pick up. All new parts, I'll take care of packaging & the reciever pays actual shipping & as jimi said 'pay it forward'. Al
