NO, you never have done a "proper build thread"...and I wish you had cuz my '48 Sedanet is next to go into the "build" mode...and I can use some guidance...I won't be sectioning mine but that chop sure does look good...

Here it is sitting in my garage...



It's almost rust free (rear of trunk is gone)...but the rest of it is nice and straight...won't need much body work and it was complete when I got it.

That's going to be a killer Caddy you've got...

This is going to be one awesome Caddy! I love the flow that has been created, looking good. Keep up the great work. Going to be at VLV in April, would love to see this one, no matter what stage it's at.

I'm restoring a 49 Super Sedanette in San Francisco. Chopping the top 2-3" keeps occupying my thoughts. if you have any info or thoughts to share on the subject would be willing to share, they would greatly appreciated.
