    Damn, it was hard to get trunk lid to body gaps even a reasonable and that new panel under trunk lid was shorter at bottom than top. Bigger problem is what tail light I gonna use? Have to search from ebay '37-'38 mopar lights or something...

  7. Looks real good. Hope to start on my frame in a month. I,m using 2x5x2 channel than boxing it. Cross members will also be 2x5x2 much like yours.

  11. Nice build, but I'm going to play devil's advocate. Those frame zees should have fishplates on them, IMO. Because the welds have been ground off, there is very little integrity in those joints. In fact, here in New Zealand that would never pass an engineers inspection. Here is my frame with fishplates on the joints... sure it's not as pretty, but I know it's not going to fold if I hit a pothole at 60mph.

    I agree with you that, but i leave good welding gaps between joints. I do my former frame almost same way, i hope it never crack. I think i weld those fishplates for better safety, thanks for that idea! Btw, i always believe you can build car wild as you want in NZ, and nobody says nothing. Cheers!

    dig the rolled edge: so much nicer than a sharp edge. nice detail right there...

    frame looks great, too... very nice smooth "bends"...


    where in Finland? my wife is a Finnish citizen, from Helsinki... i have family there... mostly svenska talar...
