Looks like I'll probably have to use a spoon type pedal after all. That's okay- thought I would show youz how my floor is coming along. Be strange not seeing the ground this year!
Okay....now wheres that gas pedal going to go..? I have nearly the same floor pan on my channeled 31....there no place for my heel...!
What if you hung it down from the dash? I'm gettin the interior to my 57 F100 back together, and with a S10 bench replacing the stock bench to sit lower in the lowrider, and new spoon pedal install, I find far less leg room. In fact my foot feels fatter than when it was on the road years ago. I'm actually gonna shave the brake pedal to make room for the gas pedal. Prob'ly shape it, but haven't figured out what, yet.
Looks good. Tight, but good. Can you offset the brake pedal pad over a an inch or two? That might give you enough room to squeeze your toes between the tunnel and the brake lever to get a a throttle pedal
Now damn-it that's funny!! Still using original fuel tank at this time so hanging is sort of out. There's just enough room for my heel to fit and lean to the right, so a firewall mounted spoon should hopefully do the trick. I'm only 5'7" so room is hardly ever an issue. But I do always keep in mind that it may not always belong to me when building!
I'm 6"6" with size 14 shoes... your car is like Cinderella's slipper and I'm one of the big fat stepsisters
You could always move brake pedal to the left. Being a automatic you don't have to keep it in the traditional location. Problem solved! JMO
have not learned anything from saturn....? ergonomics is everything.... put the seat in and make the pedals fit you....its only metal
