Zoo Road on the southeast side of San Francisco's Fleishacker Zoo. Mount Davidson with its cross is visible in the background. Detective Harry Callaghan met Scorpio under the cross at midnight in the first "Dirty Harry" movie.

Just fun to see the REAL thing here. I though everybody would enjoy seeing
these two VERY unusual STRAIGHT-12-cylinder engines. HAMBer Chrisp
of Normandy found the Voisin in a French book, and Wrench409 found the
Packard on an AACA forum. Voisin achieved this by putting two 6-cyl engines
nose-to-tail. Packard's mill appears to be a single block casting.

Where did that question come from?

Why would anyone care about post count, it's not a competition.

nukeGM is entitled to his opinion and I respect that also.

nukeGM, you are more than welcome to transfer my post count to yourself.

"The man responsible for the car was Alberto Massimino. And while AAC 815 was built primarily of Fiat components, the engine has another story. Ferrari took two 508 C 1100cc four-cylinder engines, reduced the bore and stroke, cast a new block and cylinder heads, and joined the two engines together. The result is an inline 1496cc 8-cylinder that powered the Tipo 815. The engine delivers 72 hp at 5500 rpm and was mated to a four-speed manual transmission. With a total weight of 1378 lb the car could hit a top speed of 106 mph."

"Only one Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 remained and is currently held in the Righini collection owned by Mario Righini in Italy."

Well I'm out of the game until the photobucket account stops smoking.
?I just went and ponied up for a pro account but still exceed bandwidth? Maybe it takes some time for the pro account to kick in? Well soon I hope cuz my other bucket account is on the brink of overheating too

This was one of the more hotrod friendly movies, lots of cool cars,
everybody was driving a hotrod except for Sheriff Jeff and Clarence the Mechanic

Storyline

A couple of teenagers are reported missing in a small Texas town, and it is thought they eloped until their bodies are found in a ravine. Sheriff Jeff turns to his friend, Clarence Winstead, a garage mechanic and leader of a hot-rod gang for help. A series of tragic motor accidents occur and it becomes apparent that a giant gila monster is roaming the area and depleting the town of its hot-rodding teen-agers. And might have plans on attending the BIG record-hop party.

...Rumor has it
he came from across the border,
down Mexico way...

Mr. Wheeler: It was a giant Lizard!
Sheriff Jeff: That's just not possible.
Mr. Wheeler: Well, why not? There have been giants before!

Chase Winstead: Where's Pat and Liz?
Bob: Maybe their car broke down?
Chase Winstead: Hey! I worked on that car myself!
Bob: That wouldn't make any difference if he goofed the speed shift or something!
Chase Winstead: And that squirrel is just the one that could do it!

We better go find Them!
