Just wanted to say hello- I had been on as a guest a few time- just bought a 1946 Ford Coupe and brought it home yesterday- it's been mildly rodded already- not sure of my plans but will have to work on the interior fairly soon- pretty used up- also will do brake work and looks like I'll need a front spring- then plan to drive it this Spring and Summer- make plans for any other work over next Winter- I'll try to post a photo-
So waht part of northern Michigan? I get up to East Tawas quite often in the summer months in my '47 Olds convertible.
Been a year- done very little to the coupe- found a nice stock 1960 Pontiac and spent time working on it last summer- just getting back to thinking about the 1946- I did do the brakes last year and then lost the master cylinder- Plans- lower both front and rear- reroute exhaust- change to dual master cylinder- do some interior work- seats at least- When work starts- I'll post pictures-
Had lost brakes so wanted the safety of a dual master- new dual master and new exhaust- used a CE kit- needed a bunch of mods to work- exhaust is tight through here- newly rechromed- makes the rest look a bit faded- seat covers- ordered from Lebaron Bonney- just a terrible fit- 15 hours of cut and sew was able to get them on but still a poor job- still a bit better than this-
