Wow. This one is unique. All the pics I've seen previously have had just the #7 on the door and roof. This is the 1st time I've noticed the full 7-Eleven logo on both.

Still stunning to me how quickly DiGard fell apart in mid 80s. They may have won a battle with Sacks' win at Daytona in the summer of 1985. But they soon lost the war when Bobby Allison left as a result of Sacks' win. DiGard drivers finished 2nd in points in 1979 and 1982, and Allison won the Cup for them in 1983. But once Allison said good-bye, by late 86 DiGard was pretty much kaput.

I've asked this question many times on many boards but haven't received a good answer yet. Anyone know why Hendrick changed the numerals on Tim's car from the gold with black shadowing to plain white. The change resulted in the scheme looking as one of the sharpest to a very average look. Interestingly, however, Tim started winning more AFTER the change was made.

I remember that well. I was working the backstretch that day with the red, yellow, and black flags. The tower didn't believe me at first when I told them how many cars were involved. You couldn't always see the inside of the backstretch because the infield was higher.

I had seen Richmond in a sprinter, and at Indy of course, but when Harry Hyde told me "This guy is special," I knew he had to be. Harry didn't hand out praise very lightly.

Well, I am two weeks past getting a new hip and doing well. I don't have a computer at home (my choice) so I am checking in at my office. Looks like some folks have been busy, some very good shots and interesting new areas. I'll post a couple for now and get back later to posting some along.

Tim Flock in the 91. I'd say this is around 1950/51 in the modified division.

I just saw the pics of Dave Jackson's Winchester crash. I was working track crew that day. It was COLD out! Then we had to clean everything up and repair the wall. Got sweaty. Then I was REAL cold! FYI, that's McGunegill Engine's DeWaine McGunegill in the 32 car in that crash.
