    Hey Bushy / Hberg:
Here's a couple of shots from a late in the year Dayton Speedway race about 1969 - 1970 timeframe. Some of the Pittsburg Racing Association guys came to town to try their luck on the high-banks. The first shot is Tom Colella racing with Tom Wible. Is Wible a H'burg guy or not ? (Not familiar with him). The second shot is Dave Weir. I have him listed as from PA, but can you confirm that ? Anyway, a couple of shots for everyone to enjoy.
    The Oldtimer.....

Yeah so many folks that made that time special are gone...........Tony Diano died no too long ago............so many good drivers ran that place weekly and he was one of them.

Those drivers of the 60s and 70s were such heros to me..........growing up it seems racers, cars and race event are larger than life when you are young.

Thanks, ARCA Guy. My buddy's first guess was Breedlove. He was also one of those who caused a one-week postponement of the first Midwest 300 (also the first ASA Circuit of Champions race) at Salem in October of 1972. He and Don Seaborn took out about 100 feet of guard rail in practice. That late in the year, before lights, there wasn't enough time to repair it and race. We ran the race the next week.

Hberg Lives, you obviously had a lot of feeling for that track and the drivers. I admire you for that, and the passion you've shown by making sure the records are kept. I feel the same way about the old Fairgrounds Motor Speedway at Louisville.

Bushy, I wasn't at Winchester for the 400 in 1981. I was helping Steve Stubbs with the Joe James-Pat O'Connor Memorial at Salem. Pat was a terrific driver and a great friend in the little time I knew him. There's more to this story if you want to PM me.
