Getting ready to pick final color. The old stanby BLACK or the not so commom Burgundy. Find all kinds of black deuce roadsters but not many burgundy. Show me you burgundy 32 Roadsters.............. Dark Burgundy especially but let see them all
Ain't a roadster, but it'll give ya tha picture. I've seen a couple a roadsters this shade n they look awsome!
I am a big fan of the Oxbloodish red/Maroon that came on the 40 Fords. Very similar to the Potvin highboy in the above post
Here's a couple: My cousin's old roadster(originally built by Norm Wallace;a HRM cover car in 1958)now owned by Larry Hook.Good old Buick Titian Red or Honduras Maroon if you prefer.Picture taken circa 1970. Noe a Deuce but it has a Deuce shell.Richie Willet's old Model A at the time owned by Steve Hitchcock circa 1974. Ron Rippa's 32 3-window(I think it was Titian Red;it was painted years ago). Last is Ted Wingate's beautiful 32 roadster around 1970.
I love Maroon hiboy roadsters. Lobeck started the trend in the 70's and built several in the Ford Truck dark red color. PPG. I have used the Ford Truck medium cabernet red with great results. I am going to paint my avatar a Chrysler maroon called Crimson Red which is a true maroon color.
I've posted this before but I've done a couple of cars in 82 Chevy PU Dark Carmine, a very deep maroon. They also had just plain Carmine which was a little lighter, a lot like the Ford PU Red.
