To Chop Or Not To Chop!?!?!

    The 57 ranchero has such classic lines, to mess with that would be a sin. IMO, post 1955 cars were not ment for roof chopping, sectioning maby. I think you've made the right choice.

    Got to work for Bill Neal in early 60's, He customized a lot of Ranchero's but don't remember any chopped.

    Did I get this right a 500 as in fairlane windsheild is 2.375 shorter than the ranchero. Thats what would hold me up if I was gonna whack one a buddy of mine is doing one with a edsel ranger nose looks like it bolted on easy he ask me to chop his his ranchero. I was gonna stick my finger down my throat when I seen his and his I fell in love ith it ! Maybe can post some pics these things are cool as mild customs.Love the grille

    The 500 Series winshield is only 1 1/4 lower than the 300 Series... the A pillar is a differant angle... I found the hard way after I cut my Ranchero apart...

    the top kinda reminds me of the 62-66 ford pickups, and in my opinion, they rarely look good chopped. If you were gonna do it, go VERY subtle on the chop. Take a 1/4 inch out to learn how to do it and make people scratch their heads hahaha! jk/ leave it....still looks cool
