  1. Hi Vic,how're you doing?Man,your 55 is sure coming on good, love that shiney stuff. You and Kev make a great team.Im watching closely and taking notes-Kev's great at detailing and he's a top notch fabricator.Makes me want to tear my 55 down but our summers coming so i'll wait till next year.Hows Kevs Willys coming on?

  2. I like the transmission access hole...looks like it will for easy trans swaps and shift linkage adjustments. Cool project!

Thought I'd put a pulse back into this thread. Bodywork's been done and painted by the Muro Bros. at the Hot Rod Ranch in Lompoc, CA. They did an outstanding job! - much more than I would've done myself. Trim will be going on soon as well as whatever I feel like doing at the moment. The scoop is a dummy and just sitting on the hood for looks. Slowing down in my old age with too many other projects so thought I'd better farm this car out to get some incentive to work on it again. I've torn apart a donor engine from my Willys so will be using that to get her running and work out the bugs before the "real" motor goes in. Thanks for looking...

Looks great Vic. Glad to see the project is moving along. Body and paint look great. Certainly has the right stance and look.

Hey Jim, the real motor is, should be, maybe, hopefully a blown 383 sbc - nothing special by your standards...:D.

Baron, yes it's coming along but slowly, almost a snail's pace. Got other projects in the works and moving slower nowadays. Gotta get my mojo & motorvation back up so I can move quicker. :(

Rick, Gil does real nice work and is meticulous which is refreshing to see. Being he's a Tri-five guy, he probably gave it some extra TLC.

Thanks guys, as I told my wife, it's supposed to look MEAN, not CUTE!

Thanks Butch, I'd like to see some pix of your avitar if that's your ride - nice car!

Rick, hope to have it possibly running by end of summer... or sooner. Guess VN gives me something to shoot for so I'll give it a shot unless life gets in the way .

Thanks Chris, still have a ways to go yet but slowly getting there.

I'll post more as progress dictates,

    Vic

Yes, Butch's car is one extremely good looking ride, got to see it in person at a show in Wichita a few weeks ago. Getting to see the car and talk to him was worth the trip alone.
