wow! wish i could find one!!!

  5. Good score alright Noddy.
What surprises me more is that Whangamata (home of the world famous Beach Hop)
is the Hot Rod central of New Zealand.
Maybe he dumped it there knowing you were off to the dump with your trailer ... lol

You need to bring that thing with you to So. Cal. and leave it at my house! Its my all time favorite drag racer. Been in love with Miss Anglia since I was 10 years old!

Look like perhaps you might have to look into a bigger trailer
if larger stuff gets pitched !!!

WOW! I guess we did get a bargain then. I didn't realise what a body like this could be worth in the USA.

Great save! Wonder how close it came to being crushed? Sad that the guy that dumped it didn't take the time to offer it to someone in the first place.

Well, I think you have an outstanding project on your hands. Any leads on a frame and powertrain?

Yes, all that work has been done - and quite nicely too! I heard yesterday that the original front & rear ends plus steering box & column are at the tip as well... Might have to pay another visit!

Nice, i would adverstise locally and see if the dumper has any more stuff to " recycle"

  25. Being an Anglia Gasser owner all I can say is WOW- Good for you!
It is a 49 and later by the way - note the rectangular vent, not the clam shell shape of a 48.

  26. He called it a '48 so he could sneak into the pre '49 runs with it. :D

    51 Leadsled ... See post 11.

  29. Looks like a disgruntled wife or girlfriend, the guys cloths were probably in another pile out there!!

  30. Noddy, i saw a cadillac V8 for $750 on trade me last night.
Hope you find the front panels. Ive got a 42 Anglia front bumper in the shed, its not flash, but you can have it if you want it.
