The covers themselves are great ....to me its like putting Olds covers on a Chevy...Half the people looking dont know what their looking at and assume its what the cover says

BUT as Ive said, the owner loves them on there, And really thats all that matters

One offs,I believe started life as flat plate. They where built with the car not by me

  5. Tony I'm with you on that. It probably not only makes the owner happy but at least 3 out of five of the viewers. its a neat car and I think the valve covers are just part of it.

If you looked at the covers for mine you would have to say that they are a big improvment for sure. The average person that lookes at my 394 is going to think its just another 454. The original covers for the tall deck are just not much to look at.

  6. I know it's to new but a 1969 Toro engine was my choice coupled to a 700 R4 and Quickchange makes it a perfect combination for a Hot Rod!

Really nice covers for a Y block or an MEL but on an early OLds, why?

  12. Its not to new for me if it makes you peee when you mash the loud peddle. If you own a real rod you should probably also wear astronaut diapers. :D:D

  16. Perfect choice, ZZ! Nice to see someone going this route again, rather than a s.b.c.

Wow, that's just awesome, Tony...!!! Cool trick witrh the alternator...

Thakns again for taking the time to chat with me earlier... You'll definately be hearing from me again....

And yeah, those manifolds are pretty awesome looking... I'm half tempted to attempt something similar... I think the thing that really gets me is how they look like they were cast instead of welded up from flat stock.... Are they based off of a particular piece...???

I love seeing cars that make me ask "Why the "F" did he do that?" Originality is what hot-rodding is all about, isn't it? That and pinning your eyeballs to the back of your skull when you bang the throttle WFO. And a 6-carb 394 Ross Rocket will do a way better job of that than a boat-anchor 368.

Is that a home-made cross-log-ram? In other words, are the runners on the drivers side attached to the "log" or plenum on the pass. side?

all three cars are using either original or reproduction Hurst front mounts

here's a picture with a pair of repro mounts I stamped HURTS
because this motor just about kicked my ass
took two pair of heads, two cranks and three blocks to find good blower quality cores

  30. That engine is a piece of Jewelry and Looks awesome... worth the pain you're going to experience everytime you turn the key!

Your HURTS style is similar to the ones I made for the 455 based loosely from Gardian boat mounts.

I do like how you brought the mount farther back on the engine center... just gave me some good ideas for my next set..!

Yep he be... and here's the proof...!
