and the reason you never see me in the pics is because mcphail doesn't own a camera, and I have to take all the pics as well as put all the welds in for him to grind, and a damn find grinder he is, just look at that style, sparks all lined up in one nice orderely row,.......

Better put a hood over that beutiful chromed mane!! Dont want to burn that shit up. Did i mention i love this truck. I miss opening the shop doors and it being the first thing i see. I would just kinda stand infront of it and just look at it and look at the pencil marks they had drawn on it. Gonna be badass!!! And i dig the square headlights Jeff. Im thinking about frenching 6 of them on the 48 just to up 2 on your ass!

Wow, that dash and intrument cluster on top of the w.shield is great.
Shifter is cool too, has an old feel to it, and the column drop is great too.
I bet the nay sayers are people w/out too much imagination, but also dont seem that so many hate it.
I Love it. and the chevy too.

Thanks mick, always a pleasure to have you hang around, and you get IT. sometimes it is hard coming up with new ideas, and thats when dennis and I are throwing things out that it just kinda flows. wait till you see the idea dennis got this weekend for the tailgate and bedsides. Never seen it done before , and its one of those if you didn't know you would never notice, but those are the changes that take alot of time and make a huge statement. stay tuned........for more.........

Lucas needs to mount some triangle Aris type headlights on top of the VW fenders.

Triangle headlights would be cool. But if he wants square he needs to find a fiberglass Rolls Royce kit for the front .

Hopefully I'll be able to stop in from time to time and take some pics as the car progresses, Okay, back to that badass truck :)

McPhail, what trans and gears do you have in the truck? I ask because I'm borrowing a 65 truck with the 292 today and she doesn't like to go more than about 45mph.

I really like the mods on the front part of the bed. this thing is gonna be both wild and subtle.
Why changin the hood? Have something wild in mind or simply want it to be smooth.
Im not a fan of louvered hoods as theyre too much of a hot rod thing, but i can see them in the overall image of this truck.
    cant wait for updates!

I liked the louvers when the truck was on a rake and had a 454 in it....... but it's a bitch when it rains....... we got a scoop in the other 'new' hood, but it's gonna be smooth like the rest of the truck.....and the lower part of the grill will change after the roundup.....so will the bumpers....
