Myron;did they have the red 64 parked with the group of race cars? I saw some pictures of a 62 Ford and a T-Bolt with a white 63 Galaxie in the background. There are a lot of pictures on here and other sites from the show, many cool old school race cars!! ROY.

my dad's 65....restored in 2005-2006....owned for about 14 years now after buying it from an older guy who had it stored in a barn in norther Vermont. Car was featured in Mustang and Fords magazine a few years back, and is currently for sale....tried to post an ad on here in the classifieds, but I guess the car misses the cutoff by one year...oh well....

The Cyclone has a 289 HiPo, 4x2 Webers & FoMoCo intake, 9" 3.89 rear, Toploader 4 speed, rally-pac with 8k tach, no PS, PB, heater, etc....she's a real looker, thats for sure! Never seen a car get so much attention at shows and on the road....ran at the track one time after restoration at a nostalgia race, and had some clutch issues....but, still ran mid-to-high 13s @ 100-101 mph bogging out of the hole @ Cecil county.

We have been able to trace the Cyclone back to the early 70s, and it was raced in NY state pretty heavily up to this point. All of the rare pieces (Webers, intake, hipo, rally pac) were in the car at this time, also...however, we cannot pinpoint when they were put on and by whom...great conversation piece, and it seems that everyone wants to buy them!

Working in the garage on the Comet, all the while listening to echo of the fuel cars going off. Heard the prostocks a bit too. On a crisp, clear day, we can hear them pretty well!!

Comets all screwed back together, vibration seems to be gone, now that I"ve eliminated the heavy mechanical fan, and installed a Derale pusher fan up front. Thats good news! Bad news is no traction on the street with those Firestone DOT's!!! We'll head out Thursday evening, and see if it was all worth it....

Dale;I went to Pamona on Thursday, froze my old butt off!!! Got to see some great passes in Stock and Super Stock!! So the fan was the vibration? My tires will not hook on the street either, must be our old small block junk is too strong for the street!!!! ROY.
