I thought I'd condense my previous thread asking for help into a new one combining what I found. I'll do my best to credit those who contributed.

Please feel free to add appropriate images and history.

I'll start with some of the more random images I found.

Hot Rod covers part 1. Not sure if the pickup can be classified as wearing scallops, but I had to include it...

Hot Rod covers part 2. The pale lemon/cream coupe has flames on the cycle fenders - it's on the August '58 cover of rod and Custom too.

George Cerney's 32 Tudor, George Collins' 32 5 window (with trees in the background), Jerry Sprague's roadster (flames on hood side), Jim Lytle's 5 window. And a random roadster (#15 with eyes on the grill).

Ray Erickson's '34 roadster. I know the '50 Packard is later, but it shows the evolution, or lack of. And the funny chopped English Ford.

Awesome, thanks Jimmy! The car in the background of your shot appears to be this one. Hopefully someone can identify it and supply some better pics.

These famous flames on Rich Guasco's Pure Hell were painted in the 60s, but they show their origins. On of my favourites.

Are these scallops early enough? East Coast.

I've millions of magazines here, I just haven't got time to go through them all...

I try to keep the updates going.

The #55/a car was Bill Burke's belly tank, owned by the Lodes Bros in this shot.

The #77 car belonged to Bob Rufi.

The #21 car was Burt Letner's.

    The '34 (I think) was George Miller's

The flamed/scalloped (hard to tell) sprint car was Louie Foy's in 1941 from Throttle magazine.

The #16 indy car belonged (or was driven by) Mauri Rose.
