Poor Jaguar. The front looks halfway decent, but the rear has terrible lines. Goes to show that even some of the big name shops produced some questionable designs.

He kinda screwed the pooch with that one , standard car is way nicer .

  4. Besides the spare tire in the back I think it was restyled quit nicely. I love the grill and the back lights are cool on top of the quarters. I think this would be a cool restoration project. If you think the stock car is better than this I think this is the wrong message board for ya;)

Just cause I'm a Fng doesn't mean I don't have some taste and just cause barris built it doesn't mean its pretty .;)

Fronts ok but the rear is just wrong on so many levels

    whatchyer point, Demoor?

I happen to agree with KFC, the back in particular does not look well thought out, and definitely ruins the original lines of the car. Looks like a 53 Ford grafted on back there......

Wonder what it cost 'ol Barry to get that done?

Ruined an XK120 yes, BUT, there are plenty of XK120s and this is unique. Also I find it an attractive car in it's own right.

A bit Corvette like. An XK120 for American tastes.

I agree with KFC, although he is over generous about the front.

Lemme think...recall you owned an F body and probably had a mullet...seems like you might be better suited for life over on roughriders.com or somthing. Guess we all change.

    your point being ?

And I should change that now ;)

  15. True I did have an O/T car at one point but when I was an FNG I never posted anything bad about a custom car on here!

Not all custom cars are an improvement on the original design. Goldwater's XK 120 is right up there with Raymond Loewy's XK 140 in the ugly stakes.

I have always admired that build having seen the shot with Mr. Goldwater several times before. If you like the car or not the history is way cool. Thanx for the other images guys. ~sololobo~
