when that happens to me I walk away, drink a beer, smoke a cigar, then work on something else (on the same truck), it'll come to you, listen to the truck, it really works, been doing this 20 years, papa

She's been on here before,a few billion pages ago, but I thought I'd post up again with a few upgrades. New chrome smoothies, a set of vogues, some new, permanent mirrors that you can actually see shit out of as opposed to a set of Mickey Mouse ears (home-made five inch convex peeps) which you couldn't, reworked taillights idea and a set of semi-dummy spots just for shits and giggles.

    Congrats, Del.

I see it made it in the pages of the March issue of "Custom Classic Trucks" with this one. Great stance!

Looks as though you're making a good go of things down there.

P.S. I like what you did with Coby's van!

This 1939 Chevy belongs to my friend Layne. He believes its a Canopy Express. Has anyone seen one like this? More pix coming as soon as I resize them. I''ll also put all in an album on here.

Couldn't get a full shot from the front but this will give you an idea.

The iron work on this was very well done. Note the top part where it curves around the wood lip. The bolts are the old square head type.

The inside of the roof still looks good.

I'd be willing to bet the C-cab canopy express body is much older, the way at attaches to the chev is very hacked looking and not something you'd normally see if it was purpous built. If it was mine I'd put that hack body on something from the late teens to the early 30's.
