I had a '62 Galaxy with a 406. When he cranked that thing over, a flood of memories and emotion just poured over me. I hadn't thought about those hot FEs having a particular sound, but sure as shootin', it was like I was cranking that '62 forty years ago. Wow!

Okay, so not exactly the same car, but I just found this for sale in Maine:

1964 Ford Custom Tudor (Model 62E), just retrieved from lengthy storage, with new brakes, shocks, gas tank, battery, tune up, radial tires, etc., but still awaiting exhaust. This "no frills" model is quite solid, needing minor body repair, paint, and a freshened interior, but it is unusually equipped with a strong running 352 V8, automatic transmission, and power steering - there's a great deal of potential here. $4,950

What exactly are you throwing the BS flag on? What are you seeing as "cinamatic fake patina crap"? It looked like real age to me.

I've been lurking for a while and this comment made me sign up so just I could understand your view on the car.

Not trying to be a smart fella, but just curious about your comment. Doug

That was great, had two 64s, both 390 4 speeds, red hardtop and yellow convertible, paid 90.00 for the convertible back in the early 70s...
