Hot Rods Show your Suburbans.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Sullys garage, Feb 11, 2011.

  1. Yeap,It's time for the many window and long roof Suburbans to show themselves.
Mine has been 2 years in the making and would very much like to see what everyone else is building or driving. The in'nards and makin's and any other cool stuff.

Not mine, I see this often at local car shows. Really a sharp looking ride.

  18. Do you drive that thing in San Jose much? I am pretty sure I have seen it a couple times.

Here's my '61. Daily driver for the last 5 years.
So far new engine, 4spd OD trans, new Dana 44 with 3.42 Posi gears, dual reservoir power brake conversion, 3/4-ton radiator, full instrumentation dash and a new American AutoWire harness. Last week it finally got new front floors.

I added the factory dual spots, 5-slots and lowered it in the last 6 or 8 months.

Heres one I scored at an auction last week for what I considered real fair money. Has a trailing arm frame under it. Not sure if its stock of from a 70ish.

I hope the old girl can be saved. I found a 63 pickup to pull parts off of. Im just glad I outbid the scrapper that wanted it.
