this is going to be sick Ian. No nut swinging, but I feel you're one of the most talented mother fuckers doing anything right now, and you're an inspiration for me

I've always thought these Caddies (and their sister Buick Electra and Olds 98s) had one of the nicest rooflines GM ever produced. Just about perfect.

Of course the mark of a great custom is improving on the original design; sure looks like you've achieved that with your chop. Never woulda thought it'd be possible to refine perfection! You've done it; that roof just flows so gracefully.

    Really looking forward to more.

posts like this are why i love the HAMB so much,,,,,
Its hard to improve on the lines of a 61 Caddy, but you've managed to do it in a big way......Really glad you went ahead and started a thread here....GREAT WORK, Ian!

  8. Looks great....I like how the chop itsn't over the top. Sometimes when these cars get chopped tooo much they look like crap, this is perfect.

The Cadillac is in good hands, could easily develop into one of my favorite threads.

I am so happy with the positive feedback guys, thank you VERY much!! :)
it's one of those things where of course it's our cars and we can do whatever we want with them , but when " YOUR PEOPLE " get it, it's the ultimate!!! thank you!!

I am going radical kustom with this car , but it won't be over the top... a lot of subtle changes!!

Thanx Jeff for the guidance on where to cut!!!

Sweet!!!! Are you going to make the trunk lid shorter? That would be a cool touch. What are your plans for wheels?

Very cool build, been watching the updates on FB. Glad some good came out of that slacker going out to the GNRS while the rest of us endured blizzards back here in KS :)

super sick!!! what's the paint scheme going to be?? love the chop!!

  27. Given your other work, I've no doubt this will be a stunner. Good luck. Only thing I've never liked with the 61 is the spindley rear pillars. They way they taper in towards the bottom never looked right to me. I've often wondered how they'd look with a wider 62-ish pillar.

  28. Bravo...I dig the "after" photo......
