Well, i was gonna keep this build on the DL but I can't contain myself... I'm very excited about this one!!! The plan is a full kustom build, chopped, channeled, air ride, different dash , bucket seat front and back, center console all the way, I'm gonna tweak the fins a bit, 60 cadillac rear lenses, pancake the hood and trunk, frenched antennas in the rear, extend body lines, on the side, mold the body, Kustom rear and front grille..... etc.......
I'm gonna run a big block 396, I really am not a motor guy and it's a kustom so i don't really care that it won't be running a cadillac motor!
turbo 400. My friend Van really hooked me up with the 396, he built it for a guy who flaked on him and i picked it up at a VERY good price.... Van is a stand up guy!!! Chassis will be powder coated, body is coming off soon to blast the underside and all the old gunk!!!:)

And the Cadillac is for my wife and the goal is to have it done by august ready for paint and upholstery so we can make the SHOWCASE OF KUSTOMS in november!!

    Here it is!!!

On my last trip to kansas my friend Brian had this 61 sitting in the back of his house and the good friend that he is.... He gave it to me!!! Thank you Brian.... I'll make you proud!!!

I had a 61 Caddy many, many years \ago, it was a lowly 4 door but it was cool as all get out.
    This ride's gonna be special.

Very cool. I'd love to drop the lid on my SDV, but that's a whole lot of roof to move down. Gonna keep an eye on the progress of this one.

Damn, have fun with that front glass! I love me some 61-62 Cadillacs (hence my website). Have fun with the build. I just picked up a 62 convertible that needs floors, rockers, lower quarters...wish I could work as fast and as well as you!

OMG!! Thanx so much for the kind words guys!!! Carie and I are pretty stoked on this Cadillac!!!

I'll go back in a bit and quote some comments, i type very slow and I'm dirty right now,,,, it's a big process for me to reply !! :(

As far as the glass goes... no worries here, i have the best glass guy in town!! He even has an oven to make glass. The rear fits perfect without cutting, the front needs a little trim, i'll have a new glass for that, this one is for mock up and template!

Thanx a million for all the positive feedback , sure means a lot guys!! :)
