Holy Crap! Call it self promotion or "a true seventies car", but that one has been one of my favorites since I was a kid! I always loved that one... As a matter of fact, I really liked that brief trend called "black out" that hit the West coast in the late seventies and early eighties. Del Austin kind of raised an eyebrow and looked at me sideways when I met him a few years ago and told him how much I dug that car. He didn't think anybody remembered it! One day I've got to build a full fendered '27 for me.

Looking good so far. Pretty much what I have planned but concentrating more on the chassis right now.Starting with a cut off touring front and a pair of bed sides. Have a few pix posted in my gallery. This your first ground up build as well? I've learned a lot here on the HAMB. Just kick back and enjoy.

Just to put this thread to the top again you have to look at another picture of my roadster.

    Now who's shameless!

Heres mine from way back, i bought the body when i was 12 from MAS and me and my dad built it together, i got it running when i was 18, drove it for a month or so and sold it! then i bought an A sedan. the car is still around, and still owned by the guy i sold it to and he loves it still, and its almost untouched from how i built it!

Another picture of my roadster. The handsome black man is The late great Art Gray. Raced a new Cad. crate engined 32 coupe at Bonn. in the early '50s. That day he sold me his Horne 4 pot dirt cheap. The ugly white guy is me. Oh yeah that is his blue 500 Cad. powered roadster next to him.

Good for him. I prefer the earlier version, though.

Edit on 3/28/14: I don't know what this post refers to; I suspect a post was deleted just before this.

  14. I, too, prefer the original version, but it's got to be said: This is a thread for Model T's!

I might take you up on that. That might be more fun than having him sign it at LARS. Maybe we could do it on Friday.

  27. you just let me know. there's a charbroiler caddywhompus to the shop that serves a pretty good burger and fries. PM me when we get close and i'll shoot my number. plus... this'll gimme a chance to take some measurements on your frame and such for my 'archives'....

  28. what i wouldn't do for a color photo of this thing. it haunts me. it is absolutely PERFECT. the wheels and tires, those stellar rear radius rods, the drag link, the exhaust, cowl steering, upholstery.. all of it. PERFECT. i 'm going to do one like it some day. there;s a thread on it somewhere on the HAMB. its an unhealthy read for me.....

  29. for the life of me, i cannot understand why there are not more full fendered T's on the road. they look so complete. filled out as it were. i will build a full fendered 23 (ish) and 27 before i croak.

    nice car.

And who said there is no free lunch.

96" wheelbase on my car same as Grobowski's late version. His early version that Ivo copied was 101 because (I suspect) of the early banjo differential with the spring on top. Ivo told me his was 101" and it had the rear spring on top.
