Here is my last one for this week. This was an experiment on texture. I still may go back to this one. 4"X6" acrylic. Also got my vendor space verified for the Lonestar Roundup, so come on by if you are there and say Hi. I'll be in the indoor area.

  20. Amazing work....

Nothing new from me this time.....however, I am currently part way through a coverup of a crappy tattoo I had done a few years back...

Fellow HAMB'er cadillac nut is doing the work for me, and so far I'm impressed...and apologies for the crappy cellphone pics...

1st one was the outline work...2nd one was this weeks mammoth shading session...

Wow, what a lot of work this week - some wonderful photography - particularly the Bonneville shots. I'm still drawing the monster Fiat. Here are the gearbox components laid out on the workbench - these poor cogs are going to have to deal with 2200ft/lbs of torque...

... the rear axle and oak frame to support the floor, seats and bodywork...

A more technical piece of the front axle done in biro and then coloured in photoshop...

... and a test fitting of the former for the rear bodywork...

I know it's not a hot rod but I thought you might appreciate the crazy engineering. If you're really keen , I've also started a flickr photo gallery of the build.

I checked out your gallery. Very nice display of how shop work can turn into artwork. That helped me justify the $600 Nikon I just bought this week :).

Very nice job as usual from everyone else as well. Keep it up guys! You inspire me.

Have fun with the camera. If you haven't got one already it's worth investing in the cheap and cheerful 50mm 1.8 lens (canon and nikon both do one). Fantastic in low light, for portraits and detail shots.
