Which do you prefer cruising or drag racing?
For me I like cruising especially when its a bunch of cars, but nothing compares to the Thrill of a Heads Up drag race especially when its 2 American Classics going heads up.

  2. Why not just combine the two ... cruise out to the dragstrip.

    You could do that too.
I think the NMCA created a class called true street that does that.
At the next Billetproof we should do a Hot Rod version.

Cruisin! Our club has 10 buckets, from mild to wild, cruisin togeather sure does sound GOOD, like rolling thunder! Doesn't get much better than that!

Crusing is fun, I say we need to have a Hot Rod event where we cruise first, and then we had to the drag strip and when we get to the strip the only thing we are allow to do is put gas in the car if needed. Then we race.

  7. Can't you do both? Drag at the stop lights....cruise for a cool down. ( I know I know big no no, bad for the hobby, etc!)

Even though I don't have a classic car or belong to a club, I've always wanted to go on a cruise! And even though Nascar/oval racing is my second life next to cars, I don't really watch that much drag racing except for some old drag racing movies I've seen like "The Thunderbird Gang" and "Hot Rod Girl"

    So I guess I really can't decide.

You drag race AND have a bank account??? I prefer LSR. It lasts a bit longer than a 1/4 mile.

I drag raced for about 17 years and have been actively cruising for about the past 6. For me there is no comparison. I prefer drag racing.

BOTH!! Although I favor Drag Racing to a car show!!! I look at it this way... You can't go 130 mph at a car show, but you can hang out with friends and show off your car in the pits!!! I cruise when my pocketbook gets a little thin!!!!

Cruisin' when I'm driving, drag racing when someone else is behind the wheel. I'd hate to wreck the old Hot Rod:eek:

A couple of my buddies have drag cars...so I cruise a couple hunderd miles to the KC drag strip and drink beer all weekend. Nothing goes better with beer than the smell of burning rubber. Well... maybe Panhead exhaust.
