    Here is my project since 2002. 64 Merc Comet. 5.0 EFI, 5 speed, 9 inch rear 4.57's.

    Almost done 4 years of work.......

    will be doing shake downs in June and then first races on July 23rd 2011 at the Meltdown Drags in Byron Illinois.....

    That's my favorite model of '57 Chevy! The 150 series in a 2dr post are very cool!

    This was even more rare, it was the Utility Sedan, no back seat,rear 1/4 windows were fixed in place.Someone had made a tonneau cover for the cargo space years ago,barely visible in Mike's pic above.

    Wow! I was told by Chevy that that the untilty version ended in 1955. I had a '55 version, and dealership told me they made 500 in what was supoposed to be that last year.

  14. Thank you for saying so Butch. It's been painted for awhile but the economy has put a halt on progress. So it rests in my garage, for now. Once I sell enough junk I'll continue.

    That car sat around the corner from me in a garage in Vallejo for years. Last time I saw it was about 1984, I remember it having Keystone mags back then.

  28. Hey Robert,the 55 is looking great,love the paint,so what if it takes another year or two to finish, it's progressed heaps since the misshap.Hang in there buddy it'll be worth it.My 55's not quite finished but im still having fun when i take it out.
